What is Developing the Young Workforce?

At Linlithgow Academy, Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) helps our young people connect what they learn in the classroom to the world beyond school. It builds confidence, develops key skills, and opens doors to future careers—whether that’s college, university, apprenticeships or straight into work.

Why should you care?

Because real-world experiences make a real difference. When learners meet employers, explore industries and understand different career pathways, they become more motivated, informed and better prepared for life after school. DYW helps them see the relevance of their learning and raises aspirations right here in our local Linlithgow community.
